TEARS FOR A FRAGMENTED LIGHT

THE PHANTOM BLOODLINE

January 11th, 2022

Geoffrey and Norman have finally met after an entire year of being apart. Now, they reside in the capital of the world, Lightfeld City. For them to be there at the same time is entirely coincidental, but their purpose, little do they know, will soon meld into one. It offers little surprise to them that Lightfeld Casino and the World Government building have been long infiltrated by the shadow cult.

Because of this fact, everyone, including Norman, Geoffrey, Kevin, Lillian Evans-Brooks, Alyssa Brooks, Adrian Zephyr, and Headmaster Gavin Miles of the Founders Institute of Magic, has been roped into a grand plot to undermine the shadow cult and stop the terrible day that is to come.

Rafeaunchz, the eldest and most powerful Child of Timpus, has threatened the world by his return, and once he comes back from the dead, he will wreak the havoc he had sworn to three thousand years ago.

Fight…fight like your life depends on it, because the world’s fate is in your hands, you unlucky heroes….

THE WORLD GOVERNMENT BUILDING

The center of all political attention...

Anybody who's anybody has a position in the World Government, and inside this political giant of a building are the operations of the world's international legislative body and investigative body, the Chamber of Ambassadors and the Investigative Unit. Situated on Light-Speed Plaza, this building sits in front of its brother, the titan known as Lightfeld Casino. With a large dome and four sections branching off of it, the World Government Building houses the operations of independent agencies, legislative sessions, a broad citizen information system, and anything one could imagine a government building contains.

Inside its large rotunda area, this building contains the paintings of scenery from many member nations around the world on its dome. And, surrounding the central building is a beautiful garden of flowers from all around the world, even the rare black lilac, a void-enhancing plant.

The two main bodies, the Chamber of Ambassadors and Investigative Unit, comprise a diverse group of people, with the heads of the World Government being Secretary General Ralph Evans and Ambassador Bella Alderman. More information on these groups in the organizations section!

Lightfeld Casino

The busiest place in Lightfeld...

If the World Government is the center of attraction for all government, the Lightfeld Casino is in the same league with gambling and anything pertaining to money. Not only that, but this building is the tallest skyscraper in all of Lightfeld City, and the second tallest in all of the world.

Being owned and run by Radford Evans, it was built after the man started his first casino, a small one near the port area of Lightfeld. After a few decades, he bought the skyscraper of what would originally have been the HQ for a corporation that filed bankruptcy in the middle of its construction.

After that, it was history, and no one even remembers the name of the corporation——only the legacy of Radford Evans, the greatest entrepreneur in all the world.

The Shadow Cult

A group of supreme darkness...

Responsible for many tragedies throughout the recent history of this world, the Shadow Cult has undoubtedly been a terror to humanity. Although one attempt at resurrecting a Child of Timpus (with Urieal) has been unsuccessful, the cult still has hope that Rafeaunchz, the strongest Child of Timpus, will return and take his rightful place in the world. His power is vast, his infamy is well-known, and his resurrection is feared.

The cult is everywhere, and the World Government and Lightfeld Casino are not exempt from their jurisdiction. Like a plague, they spread far and wide, and eventually, they're there before you know it.

Not much is known about the cult's leadership, but what is known is that they're very secretive and very influential.

In order to defeat the cult, one must never pull their punches...because the cult doesn't, either.

Organizations in the World Government

The keepers of democracy...

There are two primary organizations in the World Government, including the Chamber of Ambassadors and the Investigative Unit. Both of them play vastly important roles in the World Government, but they aren't always in accordance with each other. Time and time again, the Chamber of Ambassadors has lowered the funding for the Investigative Unit and has threatened to do so more, but thanks to the leadership of Ralph Evans, and the successful operation on Alyssa, Geoffrey, and Adrian's part, the funding has gone up to make the Investigative Unit a legitimate organization.

The Investigative Unit: Headed by the Assistant Directors, Alyssa Brooks, Geoffrey Lindloff, and Adrian Zephyr, this organization studies the affairs of international security, and the biggest threat to the world right now is the shadow cult. Being responsible for saving Lightfeld in 3001 A.O.W. (it is currently 3002 A.O.W. during the time of this novel), the Investigative Unit is now trying to figure out where those weapons they saved went. They believe the shadow cult has something to do with their disappearance, but they can't find a solid clue on where they can first look.

The Chamber of Ambassadors: Headed by Secretary General Ralph Evans, the Chamber of Ambassadors has many nations around the world part of its operations. Back in the year 2958 A.O.W., Rafael Evans, the first Secretary General of the World Government, founded this organization and invited nations from all around the world to join it. The rules were: each nation that joined must be accepted by a majority of the Chamber of Ambassadors...and received exactly one vote. The number of Ambassadors per nation and the manner in which they were selected were up to the nation's discretion. Back then, the Chamber of Ambassadors only had membership from the East Aclarisian Continent, but now there are over one hundred nations from three continents who are part of this democratic experiment.
