TEARS FOR A FORGOTTEN LIGHT

THE CHILDREN OF TIMPUS

September 10th, 2021

Norman has not forgotten what happened two months ago. It still is pressing on his mind, recounting to him the torture he went through, and despite the fact that he and his friend, Geoffrey, came out victorious, the taste of such a win is tainted with bitterness. At the Founders Institute of Magic, Norman thought that those memories would subside, but rather, even there they haunted him as if he were back in Luciana. How could they know?

Geoffrey continues to run into trouble. With his meeting with Governor Lydia Benson, he will determine whether or not his luck with the executives in Luciana will continue to go down hill or look up for once. Things seem to be going smoothly, and with this new alliance, he must embark to Lightfeld, the most populous city in the world, in search for help…and in search for more evil that could dwell within its streets.

The two journey through the mysteries of this unfamiliar world so that they can accomplish their individual goals: to find their families and return home. Along the way, though, there is much to be asked of them. Whether or not they’re up for the task is an entirely different question.

What do the Children of Timpus have in store now?

How could they know?

The Founders
Institute of Magic

The most prestigious institution in the world...

Founded several years after the Opsianan War three thousand years ago, this institution has stood as one of the oldest schools in the world, and with its age also comes a prestigious education system.

Currently, Headmaster Gavin Miles presides over the institution. A man of character, Gavin Miles is also a bit odd. His unique way of expressing himself, the silence he exudes——even when he has to speak——and the manner in which he solves issues have shown that he is no ordinary man. But, ordinary is not part of the Founders Institute. Quite the contrary, actually!

Behind him stands an odd mystery. Being one of the most powerful and knowledgeable magic users in the world, Gavin Miles has gained the respect of people everywhere——including alumni to the Founders Institute in many parts of the planet. This includes those in the World Government.

Resding in Riapsed, Worrosland, the Founders Institute of Magic sits in the now peaceful country (formal stronghold of many old shadow cultists and Urieal).

The only question that remains is how can this school survive against Urieal conspirators?

The New Lucianic Government

Restoring the light in Luciana…

Months after many of the members of Luciana’s old government either perished, were convicted of serious crimes, or ran away, the New Lucianic Government was formed. Following the constitution of Luciana, the fortieth Governor, former Head of the Defense Department Lydia Benson, was appointed. Because of 39th Governor Micheal Brine’s short reign as Governor, many people have begun to question the legitimacy of the process in Luciana. However, Benson vows to restore the faith in the government in Luciana by adhering to the upcoming election in September.

Unfortunately, several individuals of Urieal’s following have remained in the Brightstone Police Department and threaten the institution of Luciana altogether. Lydia Benson must send her appointed and approved Ambassador, former attorney Henry Thompson, to Lightfeld City, the world capital. Alongside Henry Thompson, Benson has chosen to send Goeffrey Lindloff to become Luciana’s second Ambassador.

The Opsianan War

A battle between light and darkness...

Exactly 3001 years before the start of this novel, the Great War between light and darkness took place, and with it came the full force of the void, whose goal was to take over the world and eliminate the light. The four Children of Timpus, Rafeaunchz, Gavrielout, Micihouvent, and Urieal, fought alongside their mother, Opsiana, until the very end. However, their luck ran thin, and the great power of a legendary sword of light, Lucigla Sacris, defeated the Children of Timpus and saved the world from destruction.

The war caused many deaths, though, and its influence still remains to this day. Almost all light magic users are extinct, and all of the pure magic light users have been killed off, leaving no one after all these years to oppose the void if it decided to wage a war against humanity.

Welcome to Lightfeld City!

The capital of the world...

Over a century ago, the initiative to form Lightfeld City, a place that served to benefit all of the world's nations that decided to become members of the World Government, began, and ever since, the city has grown to be a cultural hub for everyone who visits it. The two main attractions of the city are the Lightfeld Casino and the World Government Building, which are both headed by the benevolent twin brothers, Radford and Ralph Evans.

Ralph Evans, Ambassador to Lightfeld City, chosen and appointed by the mayor and city council of Lightfeld, has been elected to be the Secretary General of the institutional body. Since he commands a majority of the body's support, he is allowed to act with special privileges, including agreeing to the appointment of a new Ambassador from other member nations.

The rule goes as such: any nation from three of the four continents (West & East Aclaris and Occanus——except Opsiana), assuming a majority of Ambassadors agree to it, can join the World Government, can join this voting body, but each nation receives one vote in international decisions. There can be as many members from each nation, and each nation can decide how their own members are appointed/selected and how they cast their votes and decide upon support or disagreement with a certain issue presented at the floor of the Chamber of Ambassadors.
